CSR Activity-Chennai

​IMPA Chennai conducted Clothes for a Smile activity on 27th October. They were able to collect more that 12 cartons of clothes in two batches. A lot of new toys, bags and books were donated. We will be distributing this among four NGOs. On 29th September, ​Nithya from IMPA Chennai conducted a session on Personal Hygiene and Grooming for a group of girl students in the age group of 12 to 16 years. ​The session was conducted for The Rainbow Home​. The Rainbow Home secures the basic rights of the girl child through guaranteed education, nutrition, clothing, health care, recreation, love and support to ensure their reintegration into mainstream India society. CSR Activity-Thane

The Clothes for a Smile 2015 initiative was a great success in Thane. There was an overwhelming response and we received more than 700 pieces of clothing for children, women and men. There were good clothes for newborn babies, kids, teenagers, women and men. The clothes were distributed to two groups of families living on the streets and the remaining were given to an orphanage. The reaction of the kids and the adults while receiving the clothes and toys was very heart rending. Jyothi Prakash, Trupti Nachane, Ruchi Bhargava, Sonika Khilnani and Udita made the entire process smooth and successful. CSR Activity-Baroda

IMPA Vadodara had a successful activity for Clothes for A smile. The activity was conducted on 3rd and 4th November by Jheel Shukla and Deepika Pradhan where they collected a total of 111 clothes of women, men and kids, and 29 shoes. IMPA Vadodara is associated with Manav Seva who distributed the collected clothes and shoes to needy people. Special thanks Diya Khurana, Sonal Bhavsar, Vidhi Kabra, Bhumika Swarnkar, Heena Masand and Jyoti Gupta for their donation. CSR Activity-Ahmedabad

On 7th October, ICBI Ahmedabad collected plenty of clothes as part of the Clothes for a Smile initiative. The collection drive was conducted at the ICBI Ahmedabad office. We would like to thank all the donors and a special thanks to all the volunteers – Nautami Patel, Shanthi Sarvagyam, Jyoti Sudhir, Priyanka Mashruwala, Surabhi Mehta, Heena Somani, Shuchika Agarwal, Aarti Rughani, Janki Shah, and Vama Rajpal. Apne Aap Women’s Collective’ (AAWC), founded in 1998, provides marginalised brothel based prostitutes from Mumbai’s red light district and their daughters with the tools and resources for empowerment.More importantly, AAWC tries to prevent the cycle of inter–generational prostitution. As part of their ‘Umeed’ (Hope) program, AAWC, along with the Vinod & Saryu Doshi Foundation organised a very successful Beautician Vocational Training Course for 21 brothel based women to provide them with an alternate source of livelihood to empower them to break out of their current circumstances.
